The ultimate role of the Orca whale is just like any other apex predator, to moderate the population of marine
animals, keeping the delicate but complex marine food web balanced. When an apex predator as significant as the
Orca whale is removed or its population is limited, the food web becomes imbalanced which can result in
overpopulation and overeating which will continue to disturb the balance even more. In order to preserve the
diversity and balance in our marine food web, the Orca whale must continue its role in its environment and the only
way to do so is for its population grow instead of continuing in the direction its going.
